Let’s begin with the message reportedly sent out by Eli Manning and his camp.
The one from the NFL Network that surfaced Tuesday that had the Giants quarterback saying he wants to be the NFL’s highest-paid player.
Now, for those of you who are Giants fans, football fans or simply sports fans from the area who have paid a modicum of attention to the Giants, does that sound like anything that would come out of Manning’s mouth, or something he would allow his agent to say?
Anyone who has been around Manning knows he is not demanding to be the highest-paid player in the league, or even the highest-paid Manning.
