According to Nick Korte of OverTheCap.com, the Giants can gain a fourth-round compensation pick by cutting Cody Latimer and Michael Thomas.
Both players need to be cut before Week 10.
Releasing both Latimer and Thomas would guarantee a compensation pick for their loss of Justin Pugh in the offseason.
Korte also adds that the team could even receive a fifth-round pick for making these moves, thanks to Devon Kennard signing with the Lions.
If all of this plays out, the Giants would have three fourth-round picks and three fifth-round picks in this year’s draft.
