The great majority of draft analysts believe the New York Giants have to select a quarterback with the sixth overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Scott Wright of Draft Countdown agrees, telling me on the latest edition of the ‘Valentine’s Views’ podcast that it “would border on negligence if the Giants didn’t take a quarterback with that pick.”
Wright, though, isn’t in the majority when it comes to which quarterback he believes the Giants will ultimately select. Wright has mocked Dwayne Haskins of Ohio State to the Giants in both of his mock drafts, as have most draft analysts, but told me that in the end he doesn’t think Haskins is the quarterback the Giants will end up selecting.
