The New York Giants’ decision to claim running back Ryquell Armstead off waivers from the Jacksonville Jaguars could pay dividends, according to NFL Films analyst Greg Cosell.
“I think that Armstead, if healthy, and obviously his body get wracked a bit [he missed the 2020 season due to COVID-19] so we don’t know, but if he’s back to what he was at Temple I think he’s your classic, sustaining grinder,” Cosell said Thursday on the Ross Tucker Football Podcast. “I think he’s a really nice complement as a runner to someone like [Saquon] Barkley.
