EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Giants tackle Will Beatty, who has missed the entire season so far due to a pectoral tear suffered in the offseason, will miss the remainder of the season as well. Giants coach Tom Coughlin said Thursday that Beatty would remain on the Physically Unable to Perform list and have surgery to repair a rotator cuff issue he suffered during his rehab.
Thursday was the deadline by which the Giants had to activate Beatty or end his season. They worked over the past few weeks to find different ways for him to help them, trying him at guard and several positions on the offensive line.
