NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — New York Giants punter Steve Weatherford is counting his blessings after a hellish commute to Monday’s offseason workouts.
Weatherford, traveling back to East Rutherford after welcoming a newborn daughter on the West Coast, said he crashed into the median on the N.J. Turnpike during the wet early morning hours, totaling his rental car. But he “walked out without a scratch” and later tweeted a picture of himself at the Giants’ practice facility.
“Not only has God given my family and I a beautiful, healthy 10 pound baby girl,” Weatherford wrote on Instagram.
