The first half of 2019 New York Giants football is in the books.
The New York Jets got the ball to start the game and Sam Darnold promptly drove the Jets’ starting offense down the field against the Giants’ starting defense for a touchdown — though their kicker missed the extra point following a delay of game.
As far as the Giants are concerned, the Game didn’t get started until Daniel Jones and the Giants’ starters took on the Jets’ second-team defense.
The Giants’ starting offensive line held up well against the Jets’ backups, giving Jones good protection as he completed all five of his attempts on a touchdown drive.
