Quarterback: To say Eli Manning’s first game action was lackluster would be an understatement. His only drive of the game last week was a three and out resulting in a punt. The veteran will likely see more time tonight, and there is more pressure than usual on him for a preseason game after rookie Daniel Jones’ impressive debut.
Speaking of Jones, his first and only drive rapidly moved the team down the field in five plays and overall he displayed more zip on his ball than Eli has in a long while. Owner John Mara and Coach Pat Shurmur say Eli’s the guy regardless, and they don’t want him to see the field this season in a best case scenario.
