Giants take to Skype to salute ailing Daniel Fells

The Giants presented the game ball from Sunday night’s 30-27 comeback victory over the 49ers to the recipient in unusual fashion. During their Monday morning team meeting, they showed the ball, via Skype, to tight end Daniel Fells, who remains hospitalized dealing with MRSA, a staph infection, following a cortisone injection in his ankle.

“He was very nice in saying that he watched the game and he was very proud of how we finished it,’’ Coughlin said.

Coughlin said Fells had another good night and responded, “Oh, absolutely, for sure,’’ when asked if he expected Fells to make a full recovery, while cautioning, “I don’t think he’s out of the woods.
