Giants swallow pride, make right call by cutting 6th-round pick Adam Bisnowaty

Give Giants general manager Jerry Reese credit: He recognized a mistake and addressed it swiftly.

The Giants waived Adam Bisnowaty on Saturday, just four months after the team traded its sixth- and seventh-round draft picks to the Titans to move up seven spots in the sixth round to select the offensive lineman out of Pittsburgh.

General managers are typically reluctant to give up on draft picks so early, but the Giants are hoping Bisnowaty clears waivers on Sunday and returns to the practice squad. It seems unlikely that a team will claim Bisnowaty and put him on its 53-man roster after watching the 6-foot-5, 310-pounder struggle mightily this preseason.
