Giants superfan ‘License Plate Guy’ busted for loan sharking

A famed Big Blue fan could go from wearing license plates to making them, after his arrest for allegedly running a loan sharking operation in Rockland County, authorities said Thursday.

Joseph Ruback, the 46-year-old athletic director at Biondi School in Yonkers and former Spring Valley HS football coach, is best known as the “License Plate Guy” Giants fan – wearing decorative personalized plates around his neck and chest, showing off his Big Blue devotion.

He was charged with one count of felony grand larceny in the fourth degree.

“The defendant used threats and intimidation to collect debts and charged usurious interest rates on outstanding debts,” said Rockland County DA Thomas Zugibe.
