Another week, another game without the Giants’ top four offensive weapons playing together.
Saquon Barkley is cleared of his “game soreness” and high ankle sprain and will join Evan Engram and Golden Tate in the lineup Sunday against the Lions. But Sterling Shepard (concussion) was ruled out for the third straight game — as was cornerback Corey Ballentine (concussion).
The Giants have not had their Big Four collectively for any game, including the preseason, this year. Shepard is continuing to make progress, according to coach Pat Shurmur.
“He’s had a really good week,” Shurmur said.
