Robinson, who made the team after a tryout at rookie minicamp, mostly worked with the third-team defense in minicamp. It's difficult to envision the Furman product moving up the depth chart enough in the preseason to earn a spot on the 53-man roster. Even the practice squad looks like a long shot because the Giants have other young safeties, like Jadar Johnson, who will likely be in line ahead of Robinson for a spot.
Again, it's tough to see Robinson playing for the Giants in 2017. The best case for Robinson is likely showing enough in preseason games to earn a practice squad shot from the Giants or another team.
