The Giants are loaded with quality wide receivers so it will be nearly impossible for the extremely raw Snead to show enough in the preseason to earn a roster spot. Snead, who was an All-American in track., had a total of six catches in two seasons at Division 2 Carson-Newman in Jefferson City, Tenn. The only avenue for Snead would be to use his speed to excel on special teams as a gunner and returner.
Snead showed his big-play ability in small doses in his final season at Carson-Newman, catching five passes for 151 yards and one touchdown.
