Williams is one of many unheralded players trying to scratch their way up in the defensive end room. He could also potentially line up on the inside as a tackle in some defensive looks.
Williams was in training camp with the Dolphins and among their final roster cuts. He spent a few weeks on their practice squad before being cut in late September. He remained unsigned until catching on with the Giants' practice squad in early December. He stayed there through the end of the season, and then signed a futures deal in January.
Williams is a longshot to make the roster.
