Greg Milhouse Jr. doesn’t seem to care there never has been a player from Campbell University, from the Pioneer Football League, the nation’s only non-scholarship, football-only NCAA Football Championship Subdivision conference, to play in the NFL.
“The person that he talked about most while he was here was Aaron Donald,” a man named Damien Adams said over the phone, “someone that he really looked to model his game after.”
Adams was at Division II Fayetteville State when he first noticed a 6-foot-1, 295-pound wrecking ball of a defensive tackle. When Milhouse transferred from Appalachian State to Campbell, Adams was his defensive line coach.
