Giants' Robert Thomas finally practices in full after undisclosed illness

The Giants kept Robert Thomas on the roster despite his being unavailable for the first five games of the season because of an undisclosed illness. On Sunday, he hopes to show why.

The defensive tackle who was claimed off waivers from the Panthers immediately after the final roster cuts were made in early September participated in his first full practice on Wednesday. It marked the first time in his Giants career that he did not even appear on the injury report.

“It’s a blessing to still be here through that all,” he said.

The Giants are Thomas’ sixth franchise since he came into the league as an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas in 2014.
