Giants report card: A complete Ben McAdoo failure

Grades from the Giants’ 27-22 loss to the Chargers at MetLife Stadium on Sunday:

Offense

Only the Giants could rush for a season-high 152 yards (Orleans Darkwa 8-69, Wayne Gallman 11-57) and still struggle. Injuries to Odell Beckham Jr., Sterling Shepard, Brandon Marshall and Dwayne Harris made Roger Lewis the last man standing. He ran a beautiful route and hauled in a 29-yard TD with an over-the-shoulder grab. Protection for Eli Manning (21-of-36, 225 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT) was shaky; he was sacked five times, lost a fumble and got knocked around.

Grade: C-minus

Defense

When stops are needed, these guys never come through.
