The New York Giants announced on Wednesday that they’ve re-signed linebacker Devante Downs. So he will not be heading elsewhere as a free agent.
The 25 year-old Downs played in all 16 games in 2020 and started in eight of those games. He finished the season with 27 tackles, one quarterback hit, one pass defensed and one fumble recovery.
Downs’ best game this past season came against the Philadelphia Eagles on October 22nd as he recorded a total of five solo tackles.
Downs was a big contributor on special teams with 254 special teams snaps, which ranked him third on the team.
