The New York Giants have been pulling out all their stops in their big to upset the Detroit Lions on the road, as interim head coach Mike Kafka pulled out a remarkable trick play that left Lions fans stunned and Jameis Winston in the end zone.
The Giants tried to get wide receiver Gunner Olszewski to throw the ball back to Winston on a trick play, but Detroit was swarming and Winston was covered. Somehow, Olszewski managed to evade pressure and uncork a throw better than most of Russell Wilson's tosses this year.
Winston looked like a viable NFL wide receiver on this play, catching the pass and eluding defenders on his way to a brilliant 33-yard touchdown that put the upset-minded Giants up 27-17 against the Lions.
