Giants’ practice report, 7/26: Another injury at wide receiver

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The New York Giants concluded their second day of practice, and of course it couldn’t end without another wide receiver injury.

Who is going to catch the ball?

This time the injury bug hit Brittan Golden, who left practice after suffering a groin injury.

Golden leaped to catch a floating pass from Kyle Lauletta, snagged it over Corey Ballentine, turned and ran 20-30 yards into the end zone for a score. Instead of celebrating, though, he went to a knee, was immediately surrounded by teammates and threw the ball away in disgust while cursing.
