punter Jame Gillan capped an excellent 2023-24 season by being named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance Week 18 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The honor for Gillan meant the Giants finish the season with back-to-back winners of the weekly special teams honor. Punt returner Gunner Olszewski received the award in Week 17 after returning a punt 94 yards for a touchdown against the Los Angeles Rams.
Gillan, nicknamed ‘The Scottish Hammer,’ punted five times against the Eagles, with four of those being downed inside the 20-yard line. He averaged 45.
