According to Dan Duggan of NJ Advance Media, on Thursday New York Giants co-owner John Mara stated in a radio interview his belief that quarterback Eli Manning still has significant gas left in the tank. Manning, who enters 2017 at 36 years old, has been the team’s starter since 2004 and has started 211 consecutive games for the team.
At one time, Manning easily performed as one of the best quarterbacks in the league. From 2009 to 2012 he graded in the top 15 in each season, top 10 twice, and in 2011 during the Giants’ second Super Bowl run, Manning earned a career-best 90.
