Giants news, 9/4: Davis Webb unclaimed on waivers, more headlines

Good morning, New York Giants fans! Quarterback Davis Webb went unclaimed on waivers Monday, leaving him free to sign with any team. The first ex-Giant cut over the weekend to find a new home is defensive tackle Robert Thomas, and he had to settle for a spot on the practice squad of the Buffalo Bills. They used one of their four practice squad exceptions on the 27-year-old.
