We speculated on Wednesday about the possibility the Giants could be interested in signing Deone Bucannon after his release by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Bucannon, of course, flourished under James Bettcher as the original moneybacker with the Arizona Cardinals.
Well, there is a report from Thursday morning that the Giants are one of four teams interested in signing the 27-year-old.
Considering the Giants’ struggles at linebacker, and on defense in general, bringing in a player who had so much success for Bettcher and is still relatively young by NFL standards makes sense.
