Giants’ new receiver fill-ins showing some promise

Our daily practice report from Giants training camp:

Good

Recent wide-receiver additions T.J. Jones and Amba Etta-Tawo look to be integrating into the team nicely. Etta-Tawo was catching low passes from Kyle Lauletta and flashing signs of good hands. Jones showed dominant capabilities down the sidelines on several big plays.

Bad

Offensive tackle Chad Wheeler is a 6-foot-7, 300-pound bulk of physicality. He’s aggressive and uses his strength to his ability, but almost too much. On several plays, Wheeler resorted to illegal-hand placement and excessive force that would without a doubt draw a flag in a game.
