Giants new leader Alec Ogletree owns 2 big plays allowed | 'Stay true to who I am'

One of the first people Alec Ogletree had to criticize in his new role as a leader of the Giants defense was the inside linebacker responsible for giving up big gains in back-to-back games.

His name? Alec Ogletree.

Ogletree allowed a 36-yard touchdown pass to Browns tight end David Njoku in the preseason opener and a 42-yard completion to Lions running back Theo Riddick one week later.

"Definitely my fault in those situations," Ogletree said. "That's what preseason is for: Make your mistakes now, and hopefully you have them corrected before the beginning of the season.
