It goes without saying that Abdul Carter's rookie season has been an unmitigated disaster for the New York Giants.
The third overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft has been benched more this season than the number of sacks. Carter has only recorded 1.5 sacks this year and has now been benched twice over the last three weeks due to missing team meetings. The pass rusher was initially benched for one drive during the Giants' Week 11 matchup against the Green Bay Packers and ended up riding the bench on Monday night for the entire first quarter against the New England Patriots.
