Michael Strahan has been admitted into the College Football Hall of Fame, the National Football Foundation announced on Wednesday. Before he was setting single-season sack records in the NFL, hosting Good Morning America, and putting on Hall of Fame gold jackets, the New York Giants legend was routinely terrorizing FCS quarterbacks at Texas Southern.
He was so dominant that he graduated with the school’s single-season sack record (19) and the program’s all-time sack record (41.5). His efforts earned him plenty of well-deserved hardware, including First-Team All-American honors, Division I-AA Defensive Player of the Year, 1992 Black College Defensive Player of the Year, two-time SWAC Defensive Player of the Year, and All-SWAC recognition.
