A bizarre situation took another strange turn on Wednesday as Giants officials, including vice president of medical services Ronnie Barnes, departed Miami without ever getting a chance to see injured Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul, according to a source.
The officials had arrived in Miami on Monday hoping to visit the 26-year-old defensive end, who's at Jackson Memorial Hospital after injuring his hand in a Fourth of July fireworks accident. It is believed Pierre-Paul underwent surgery.
