There will be a new set of hands hiking the ball back on kicks and punts this week.
Long snapper Danny Aiken walked around the Giants’ locker room Thursday afternoon as he got acclimated with new teammates. He was contacted by the Giants when long-time long snapper Zak DeOssie went down with a wrist injury that will require surgery.
DeOssie was placed on injured reserve and will miss the remainder of the regular season.
Aiken came in for a workout on Tuesday. He recognized the cleats he will need to fill on game day.
“Zak is one of a kind,” Aiken said.
