Giants injury report, 9/5: Evan Engram out of concussion protocol

The New York Giants got some good news on Wednesday as tight end Evan Engram has cleared the concussion protocol and will be available for Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Engram suffered his concussion in the third preseason game when he caught a pass over the middle and was sandwiched by two New York Jets defenders.

Head coach Pat Shurmur also said that defensive end Olivier Vernon is “making great progress” as he tries to return from an ankle injury suffered in practice more than a week ago.
