So long, Skatt. The New York Giants officially placed rookie running back Cam Skattebo on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday, just two days after he underwent surgery for the dislocated ankle he suffered in Philadelphia. And in the first of what should be several roster moves to come, they obviously filled his spot with **checks notes** a cornerback.
As one does.
Rather than address the obvious offensive need, the G-Men doubled down on their banged-up secondary, claiming former Cleveland Browns cornerback Jarrick Bernard-Converse off waivers. No word yet if he’s rocking the Chuck Taylor high-tops, but his arrival does add some needed depth to a defense that’s losing bodies by the minute.
