On Tuesday Tom Coughlin said he was interested in coaching again. And that coaching opportunity just may come from a Giants rival.
According to a report from FoxSports on Saturday, the Giants are expecting the Eagles to speak to Coughlin. That report comes shortly after a FOX 5 report in New York said the Eagles had asked the Giants' permission to speak with Coughlin.
According to ESPN, an interview will occur on Monday.
It all sets up plenty of intrigue for Coughlin, who coached the Giants for 12 seasons. Coughlin made it clear during his resignation presser that he wanted to coach again, although few expected that to come with the Giants' NFC East rivals.
