Giants DT Damon Harrison gets slow start to training camp | Practice report

All-Pro defensive tackle Damon Harrison spent most of Friday's practice on an exercise bike. Harrison took a few reps late in the light practice, but McAdoo said, "We're starting slow with Snacks." McAdoo was typically tight-lipped, saying only that Harrison's lower body is sore.

Harrison started training camp last year on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list due to knee swelling. While Harrison avoided the PUP list this year, the Giants aren't going to push the 350-pounder who hasn't missed a game in the past four seasons.

In addition to Harrison, linebacker J.T. Thomas (knee) and running back Shaun Draughn (ankle) worked on the side with trainers during practice.
