A lot is going to be made about how terribly the New York Giants played the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night, and it’s warranted. Apparently, they just forgot to show up to their sludgefest of a home opener at MetLife Stadium, with a final score of 22-9.
The offense put up 281 yards of total offense, with one player accounting for nearly half of those yards. Don’t look now, but rookie running back Cam Skattebo is starting to look like a stud. The former Arizona State Heisman finalist looked as advertised in the loss, racking up 121 scrimmage yards (61 rushing and 60 receiving), while adding Big Blue’s only touchdown of the game on the ground.
