For two years, we have been advocating for Kayvon Thibodeaux and the other New York Giants edge defenders to work at least some with renowned defensive line coach Andre Patterson in an effort to improve their pass rush skills.
That is finally happening.
Patterson on Thursday called that a “huge change from previous years.”
The Giants have a new defensive coordinator in Shane Bowen, who replaced Wink Martindale. They also have a new outside linebackers coach, with Charlie Bullen replacing Martindale disciple Drew Wilkins.
“I’m working with those outside linebackers on pass rush,” Patterson said.
