It was quite a surprise in 2018 when the New York Giants decided to trade star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. as well as pass rusher Olivier Vernon in exchange for safety Jabrill Peppers, offensive lineman Kevin Zeitler and the Browns first and third round picks in the 2019 NFL Draft.
The Giants ended up using the draft picks to acquire defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence and edge rusher Oshane Ximines.
Three years later and Bill Barnwell of ESPN says the Giants won the trade. Here’s a portion of what he wrote:
While the Giants haven’t replaced Beckham in the lineup, they’ve gotten more out of the players on the other side of this trade.
