Darian Thompson was looking forward to getting back on the field. The safety spent the bye week at the Giants’ facility continuing his rehab on an injured foot and returned to practice on Monday. But on Wednesday he aggravated the injury that has sidelined him since Week 3, and on Thursday he was back in a protective boot with the prospect of his returning for his rookie season in jeopardy.
