Giants cut Kelvin Benjamin after blow up

Well that didn’t last long. After only two days at training camp, the New York Giants have released tight end/wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin.

The Giants announced the move as well as the fact that they placed tight end Rysen John on the COVID-19 list.

Big Blue signed Benjamin after he attended their rookie minicamp back in May on a tryout basis. Zack Rosenblatt of NJ.com says that Benjamin had a bit of a blow up with general manager Dave Gettleman and head coach Joe Judge during Wednesday’s practice.

As the Giants were warming up at the start of practice, Benjamin was off to the side speaking with Judge for an extended period of time.
