Giants cut Devonta Freeman

When New York Giants’ star running back Saquon Barkley went down back in week two with a torn ACL, Big Blue decided to signed veteran running back Devonta Freeman. With the season now over they no longer have a need for him, he’s been released.

The Giants waived Freeman on Thursday, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN.

Freeman looked very good for the Giants when he was healthy this season but he ended up on injured reserve late in the season and then on the COVID-19 list, but never got off of IR with Alfred Morris and Wayne Gallman playing so well.
