The Giants will return to practice Wednesday with Steve Spagnuolo as their interim head coach, Kevin Abrams as their interim general manager and a lot of uncertainty in the air.
Ben McAdoo and Jerry Reese are gone after being fired Monday. Ernie Accorsi has been hired as a consultant to help co-owners John Mara and Steve Tisch find a general manager, who will then help them find a new coach. This could be a long, intriguing process to come.
Here are some random thoughts as this new era in Giants history begins:
Abrams, the interim general manager, has made his name as a cap guy, but he should be considered a serious candidate to get the permanent position.
