The New York Giants have announced that they’ve claimed former Jacksonville Jaguars’ running back Ryquell Armstead off of waivers.
In order to make room for Armstead, New York waived quarterback, wide receiver, special teamer Joe Webb.
The 24 year-old Armstead did not play in 2020 after opting out due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He was selected in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Jags out of Temple University. He is a New Jersey native having played football at Millville High School.
Armstead has only accumulated 108 yards on 35 carries during his one NFL season.
