Gabe Davis update: As Davis visits other teams, are the New York Giants still interested?

We continue to get questions in the Big Blue View inbox regarding free agent wide receiver Gabe Davis, the one-time Buffalo Bills receiver who visited with the Giants in mid-May.

Why didn’t the Giants sign him? Are they still interested in Davis? Does he have other options?

Well, let’s discuss the 26-year-old Davis, taken by the Bills in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Giants GM Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll were, of course in Buffalo as assistant GM and offensive coordinator, respectively, at the time.

Davis, released by the Jacksonville Jaguars just one unproductive season into a three-year, $39 million contract, recently visited with the Pittsburgh Steelers and San Francisco 49ers, and has now scheduled a visit with the New Orleans Saints.
