Giants tight end Evan Engram cleared another hurdle in his comeback from a concussion suffered in Week 3 of the preseason, but linebacker Olivier Vernon's status for Sunday's season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars remains in doubt.
Engram was cleared from the concussion protocol and took part in Wednesday's practice without the red non-contact jersey that he was wearing on Monday.
"I feel good," Engram told NJ Advance Media. "Today is the first full day. I got around on Monday a little bit. I feel good, I'm ready to go, and I'm just learning all of the game plan stuff for this week.
