Just when it looked like the Giants would have their top four weapons — Saquon Barkley, Sterling Shepard, Golden Tate and Evan Engram — available for the first time all season Monday night against the Eagles, Engram took a step back.
The tight end, who has missed the last three games with a foot injury, was trending toward a return with limited practices on Thursday and Friday before not practicing Saturday and being declared out.
“Made some progress, but not ready,” Engram said. “For what I’m asked to do, it requires a lot of explosiveness and obviously cutting.
