The Giants have seen enough.
After Ereck Flowers allowed two sacks through the first two weeks, and was given all he can handle from Jaguars defensive end Calais Campbell and Cowboys' rusher DeMarcus Lawrence, the embattled right tackle and former first-round NFL Draft choice was benched ahead of Sunday's must-win Week 3 showdown in Houston against the Texans.
The decision to bench Flowers was first reported by The New York Daily News.
The Giants' patience clearly has been worn thin by Flowers, who surrendered a career-worst 6.5 sacks last season prior to his early struggles in 2018.
