Eli Manning and his complicated Pro Football Hall of Fame candidacy

New York Giants head coach Pat Shurmur announced on Tuesday morning that Daniel Jones will be the team’s starting quarterback entering Week 3. FanSided‘s Matt Verderame and former Giant offensive lineman Geoff Schwartz spoke with Giants beat writer Matt Lombardo of NJ.com on Jones’ predecessor Eli Manning and his complicated Pro Football Hall of Fame candidacy.

Manning had been the Giants’ starter since midway through his rookie year with New York in 2004. Though Manning led the Giants to two Super Bowl victories in 2007 and 2011, it’s not a sure thing that he will have a bronze bust in Canton, Ohio.
