Former New York Giants’ quarterback Eli Manning did an interview with Trey Wingo, where he admitted that he may not have held out if the San Diego Chargers didn’t end up trading him to the Giants after using the first overall pick on him during the 2004 NFL Draft.
Of course Manning and his family made it clear prior to the draft that he would hold out if San Diego drafted him. Well they did draft him and then of course the Giants made the trade that sent quarterback Phillip Rivers and multiple draft picks to the Chargers in exchange for Manning.
