Dave Gettleman may or may not lose his job in a week, but the embattled New York Giants general manager has recently received some heavyweight support. A pair of former NFL executives who are now in the Pro Football Hall of Fame — Gil Brandt and Bill Polian — have thrown their support behind him.
“I think he’s doing an outstanding job,’’ Brandt told The Post’s Steve Serby, when asked to evaluate Gettleman’s work with the Giants. “I don’t care what they say, I just know the players that they got, and how I graded those players.
